To be honest, I never thought I would start a blog, I actually started reading blogs back in college mainly fashion ones and I loved it but never thought it was for me since I was not that passionate about anything. Then I found my love for traveling and I have become so passionate about it that my friends have felt it and actually they were the ones that push me to start this. I have put this on the back burner for almost 6 months and then after starting my job back in Corporate America gave me the final push to open my Instagram and start this blog as a creative outlet. I know everybody says the same but it is actually true, especially when you work with numbers so much you need something outside of the cubicle to get through life, well at least I do.
Why La Maria Travels? Well aside from Maria being my name, La Maria was the name of my great-grandfather’s ranch back home in Ecuador. I never met him but my dad always talked about that place and the name has always stuck with me. So why not name my blog after something that is meaningful for me and my family and also it has my name on it!
So what is my purpose with this blog? I will show how to travel the world on a budget and to make the most of your vacation days. After working in Corporate America for 5+ years, I have learned a few tips and tricks on how to make the most of my vacation days and see all those places in my bucket list.
I will share my travel experiences, give you tips, tell you stories, and share everything I have learned about traveling and what works and what doesn’t. I hope my journey inspires your own journey and you get to travel and see that place you always wanted to go!
